How to Break in a New Baseball Glove

Breaking In Your Custom Glove:

Don't take short-cuts... play lots of catch. Or Try Nokona's glove mallet to help you break in your glove the way you want it.

Never under any circumstances place your glove in a microwave oven! This will damage the glove and void most warranties.

Cleaning and Maintenance:
Proper maintenance of a Valle glove include both things that you should and should not do. The biggest enemies of a quality leather baseball glove are water, oil, and heat. Too much exposure to these elements will shorten the life of your glove. Positive things you should do are to keep your glove clean and periodically inspect it for any loose lacing that may happen over time.

Off-Season Storage:
Vasoline (or plain petroleum jelly) helps preserve the leather, cleans it and aids in creating a seal to repel moisture. Rub a small amount of Vasoline both inside and out. Make sure excess Vasoline is wiped thoroughly from the glove before storing for the winter.
